What would the holiday season be without attending at least one magnificent choral concert? So we want to give a loud shout-out that here, in the heart of Anaheim, we are fortunate to have a magnificent chorale – The Meritage Vocal Arts Ensemble. As you plan your December arts program, pencil in the date for a spellbinding experience on December 11th.

For its second concert of the season, Meritage will explore music of the holidays as it is composed and performed in Europe and America. American selections include traditional Christmas carols such as O Holy Night and Jingle Bells, the ever-popular hymn Hark, I Hear the Harps Eternal, and Mark Thomas’ stunning Ave Maris Stella with a gorgeous violin solo woven into the solo soprano line.  Meritage will contrast these selections with music from the European tradition, including music from Germany written by Mendelssohn, and timeless pieces from Israel, and Spain.

The highlight of the performance will be John Rutter’s Gloria, performed on this occasion in its arrangement for organ and choir. This ageless and enduring masterwork has captivated audiences around the globe for over 40 years.

Our concert on December 11th coincides with World Choral Day, a global celebration in which tens of thousands of choirs sing for millions in celebration of peace, unity, and understanding through choral music. Meritáge invites you and your family to be a part of this special event and kick-off the season in style.  Join us, and we wish you the happiest Holly-Days.

And because everyone loves to sing Chistmas carols you will be able to join the choir and sing along with two seasonal favorites!

Tickets may be purchased at the door or in advance at the Meritáge website: www.Meritage-VocalArts.org.

$20.00 - General Admission
