Anaheim's Big Fish Nearly Open
Regular drivers along the I-57 cannot have missed the curious structure slowly rising above the parapet of the freeway as they pass with the Angel's Stadium on the left. It lies there - long, rounded, gray, like a beached fish. But what is it? We have been informed by the City of Anaheim that this is a travel interchange connecting rail, bus, autos and Disney tramcars. Mayor Tom Tait tells the Anaheim Arts Council that not only will the interchange be open for business by the end of the year, but that it will also house a spectacular piece of public art! This is significant because only a few months ago the planned sculpure was about to be scrapped - until the mayor intervened.
All this has left us wondering what will the final building be like? And this allowed our artist to speculate - this will be Anaheim's unique and spectacular Big Fish. After all, who wants to call it the Artic?
