The Taste of the Arts is Back

By Editor, 2013-04-08

The ever popular Taste of Anaheim will be back in GardenWalk for the 18th time on Thursday May 9th. And as usual there will be a small subset of the festival devoted to the arts under the name Taste of the Arts.

For those of you who have never been - GO! Once you've paid your admission you need pay nothing extra. Just beware that Presale Tickets are $35, while at the door they will cost you $45. The food and the drink just goes on and on and on. It's a gourmet's delight. Many of Anaheim's finest restaurants are ready to ply you with their most delectable fare. You can your get tickets right here. The Anaheim Chamber of Commerce does a great job with this event. You can find all the details on their website.

Of course it's not all food and drink! There will be a range of business exhibitors, and a steady stream of music from bands like Detour 91, classic rock from Bostyks, and Aerosmith music from the tribute band Aerorocks.

Then there is the TASTE OF THE ARTS. Artists considering taking a booth there should know that their booth space will be FREE. It is a great deal. Here is the ARTS EXHIBITOR REGISTRATION FORM. The Arts Council is trying to make sure that art booths are well located to make sure they get plenty of foot traffic.

Any arts organization or individual artist can apply for a 10 foot square space. You may have a power supply, table linens and skirting on request. But the canopy, tables, chairs, will be up to you. You could easily have two artists sharing a space. And bring plenty of promotional literature. You are wanting to build relationships with people that will peek their curiosity, bring them to your website or gallery and hopefully make sales. Maybe get folks on your email list. Please do not simply sit there waiting for people to talk to you. Intercept passers by with a warm smile and a word of welcome. Remember - they might be very shy about talking to a real artist. Above all, have fun.

Deadline for art space applications is April 19th.
