TLT to Celebrate 30th Anniversary
When Pigs Fly!
The Living Tradition Concert Series proudly celebrates its 30th anniversary with a special concert featuring When Pigs Fly! with special guest Bill Dempsey
2012 marks The Living Traditionís 30th anniversary and we are celebrating with a very special concert on Saturday, August 18. There will be prizes, free refreshments, performances by past Living Tradtion board members Bea and Jim Romano (as part of When Pigs Fly!) and Bill Dempsey... and Living Tradition Members will be admitted absolutely free of charge. Come help us celebrate!
When Pigs Fly! celebrates the musical traditions of the British Isles and its evolution in America. Their Celtic aires will pull at your heart strings, and their jigs and reels will set your feet in motion. American traditional music is celebrated from seafaring Colonial times to bluegrass, and from Appalachia to Cowboy.
Also known as The Shanty Man on the brig Pilgrim in Dana Point, California, Bill Dempsey writes and performs music that is a blend of traditional and original acoustic American folk music, jazz, and tin pan alley with a little bit of salt sprinkled in in the form of an occasional sea shanty.
For more information about the performers please see www.whenpigsflymusic.com and www.billdempseymusic.com.
