Traveling Western Folk Singers - Saturday

Fur Dixon and Steve Werner

By TLT, 2012-03-13
Traveling Western Folksingers Fur Dixon & Steve Werner with special guest Freebo will be performing in Anaheim next Saturday.

Fur and Steve combine their unique songwriting visions of life, travel and the American West to create a musical landscape that is all their own. Having been musical partners for eight years now, they harmonize beautifully with each otherís songs including occasional two-part cowboy-style yodeling. Their original songs are as often fun as they are heartbreaking while they also pay homage to well-worn old time songs we all know and love.

Freebo is an award-winning singer/songwriter but may be best known as a Folk-Rock-Blues Icon. For 30 years, Freebo played bass on recordings and toured with some of the great artists of our time: Bonnie Raitt, CSN, Maria Muldaur, Ringo Starr, Neil Young, Loudon Wainwright III, Dr. John, and many others. It was his yearning for more creative expression that drove Freebo to begin a process of deep inner discovery, and this has led to his successful transition as a singer/songwriter.
