Farewell Dennis Hollow

Dennis Hollow:
May 1942 - Dec 10, 2011

By Various, 2011-12-14
It is with great sorrow that I must report to you the sudden death of my loyal friend and neighbor, Dennis Hollow, Saturday evening, December 10th, 2011. He and his wife, Mary, were in Sacramento for several days visiting relatives. Before retiring for the night, he unexpectedly passed away, writes Esther Wallace, WAND Chairman.

She continues: Dennis was a kind friend to West Anaheim and other city groups in writing the very informative articles on their various projects. He asked questions and listened with an open mind. His descriptive articles informed the community of the multiple activities happening in Anaheim. Dennis was the neighbor to whom everyone would turn to when we had a problem with something on our property. He came willingly and usually solved the problem.

Dennis was a great friend of the arts in Anaheim, regularly attending and reporting on art events, including those of the Anaheim Arts Council and its member organizations. He loved to see school kids growing in creativity. Everywhere he went he was treated with the utmost respect as a friend. Gently he would arrange people into groups for photographs, carefully writing everyone’s names in his notebook and asking just the right questions. If he knew of people who were going through hard times he was never too busy to send them a friendly email enquiring after their well-being.

At the time of writing no final arrangements have been made for the funeral.

We will all deeply miss Dennis, a gentleman who was so willing to serve us all, for the beautiful words he wrote and the deeds he performed for his community and neighbors.

The funeral Liturgy for Mr. Dennis Hollow will take place this Saturday, December 17, at 11:00am at:

Banquet Room
300 S. Flower St.

Once again we offer our heartfelt condolences to Dennis’s wife, Mary, his son and daughter, Anthony and Denine, and the entire family and all his friends. We will always remember him.

Thank you,
Denine Hollow
