Scholarships for 2011
The Arts Council is very proud to be able to help students progress in their arts education. The award of these scholarships is a major feature of the Council's work. They are named after Violet Wheeler, a very generous benefactor.
This year High School Scholarships are available in Dance, Instrumental Music, Vocal Music, Theatre and Visual Art. We deeply regret, however, that we are unable to offer any scholarships to College students. Diminished giving and barely satisfactory fundraising has hit us hard. We hate to be in this situation and are already seeing what we can do to improve funding for next year, 2012.
Please be quick in filling out your forms and getting teacher recommendations. The deadline for submission is a postmark no later than May 18th, 2011.
The poster, also right, contains extra information. Make sure you read it carefully. Audition times are on the poster.
