ANAHEIM, Calif. – May 8, 2012 – NASCAR and UltraLuxe Cinemas are bringing adrenaline-pumping NASCAR action to the big screen with a free Official Viewing Party and Fan Festival for the NASCAR Sprint All-Star Race. Taking place on Saturday, May 19 from 12 – 7 p.m., this event will be hosted by AM830 Radio and on-air personality Gordon “Lug Nutzz” Stewart, whose name has been synonymous with motorsports for 15 years.

The all-day festival will feature an authentic stock car display and photo opportunities courtesy of NASCAR Street Tour, Rusty Wallace Racing Experience and Telemundo Racing. Fans will have an opportunity to compete for the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series championship with the NASCAR Video Game Challenge on the UltraMaximum 65-foot movie screen. The NASCAR Art Walk also will be on site, with all proceeds benefiting the NASCAR Foundation.

The festival will culminate with the 4 p.m. broadcast of the NASCAR Sprint All-Star Race, live from Charlotte Motor Speedway. Race fans will have the opportunity to enjoy heartpounding NASCAR action like never before on the UltraMaximum 65-foot giant screen experience, one of the largest and most technologically advanced movie screens in the country, featuring crystal-clear digital projection and 9.1 channels of seat-shaking digital sound.

Gordon “Lug Nutzz” Stewart will host the pre-race party, live radio broadcast, and the viewing party, giving out fantastic NASCAR prize giveaways all day long. He will be joined throughout the day by celebrity guests, including Christopher Knight, one of the world’s most recognizable faces due to his iconic portrayal of Peter Brady on The Brady Bunch. Knight recently competed in a NASCAR late model race at Irwindale Raceway and recorded what some observe as the “unofficial” celebrity lap record during qualifying. For 15 years, “Lug Nutzz” has grown his extreme sports personality on ESPN2, SPEED Channel, HBO, Versus Network, 710AM , National and Sirius Satellite Radio! He has interviewed industry icons ranging from NASCAR’s Tony Stewart and Kyle Busch to X-Games stars Brian Deegan, Mike Metzger and Travis Pastrana. He currently hosts the Lug Nutzz action/motorsports lifestyle radio show Saturdays on AM830 Radio.

Admission to the Official Viewing Party and Fan Festival is free. Seating for the NASCAR Sprint All-Star Race broadcast inside the UltraMaximum auditorium is available on a first-come, first-served basis. Food, beer and wine will be available for purchase all day in the UltraLuxe Cinema Café, which offers 10 kinds of gourmet paninis, quesadilla plates, deluxe nachos, pizzas, hot dogs, desserts, specialty coffee drinks and more.
