Anaheim International Dance Festival Takes Shape
The Fourth International Dance Festival, organized by the Anaheim Ballet, will be here in early August – 9-11th. From the very first year of the festival I have become a devoted fan. Like so many others (including Mayor Tom Tait) I had wondered why I should go and watch the ballet. But having been there, I then understood why. There can be few artists who are as finely trained and tuned as ballet dancers. Their athleticism and strength is breathtaking. Then give them great choreography set to wonderful music and we ordinary mortals can only wonder how the human body can perform with such grace and beauty. Ballet is frequently deeply moving and sometimes very funny. There is no part of this Festival that I will miss. My recommendation is that you find the time to attend at least one event.
Here’s a rundown of what to expect as released by Anaheim Ballet. The time and place details are on the Anaheim Arts Calendar – which will open up when you click the links.
