By Staff Writer, 2012-08-30
For the past two years the Anaheim Performing Arts Foundation has brought a bevvy or fine Broadway artists to Anaheim to perform in concerts designed to raise both awareness and funds for the much anticipated new building. It will certainly be a considerable achievement if the APACF can turn the dream into reality.

This years the concert will be in the grounds of the luxurious Fox Pointe Manor – the home of Dr. Howie and Linda Knohl. If you plan to go the date will be Saturday September 15th and you can reckon on a splendid occasion.

You may purchase General admission tickets for $40, Premium tickets for $75 or VIP seating for $150 – which will include dinner, special seating at the show, after dinner cordials and sweet surprises. An extra $25 will get anyone into the after show cast party. You can order tickets here.

http://www.apacf.org/events/broadway-comes-to-anaheim-again/ The line-up of stars (see the Facebook page) includes Lexi Lawson (American Idol), Valarie Pettiford, Dawnn Lewis and Matt Zarley.

You can be sure of a fabulous evening of entertainment. As the APACF website declares:

Since 2010, APACF has treated local audiences to the best that musical theatre has to offer with a star-studded line up each year including favorites like: Academy Award Winner Shirley Jones, film and TV stars Lea Thompson, Vicki Lewis and American Idol finalist, Ace Young, Broadway legends including, among others, Davis Gains (Phantom of the Opera), James Barbour (Tale of Two Cities), Rex Smith (Pirates of Penzance), Jenna Leigh Green (Wicked), Nicole Parker (Wicked), Derek Klena (Carrie), and local Southern California talent such as Joan Ryan, Alli Mauzey, David Burnham and dozens more!

Each rousing performance brought hundreds of audience members jumping to their feet in waves of emotion indicative of the great musicals of Broadway and always leaving the crowds wanting more. More they will get! This September APACF President/Co-Founder Linda Knohl and her husband
Dr. Howard Knohl open up their beautiful home to host the concert of Broadway stars performing songs from great American composers.

The proceeds from the third annual “Broadway Comes to Anaheim” musical celebration go to support APACF's mission: to raise funds to build a state-of-the-art performing arts center in Anaheim that will host the best in the performing arts to the residents of Anaheim and surrounding communities.

With a marriage between the finest in performing talent and the greatest in American musical theatre the evening promises to be nothing short of…the best! That is exactly what APACF has in store and just what they have become known for; providing the very best each time Broadway comes to Anaheim.
